Day 1

This morning you will be picked up by  Safaris by Max representative who will transfer you to Wilson airport for your 45-minute flight to the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve departing at 0915 hours. On arrival in the Mara, you will be met by the lodge’s vehicles and transferred to Mara Leisure Camp at game drive speed viewing game en route. Set in what is considered Kenya’s prime wildlife area, Mara Leisure Camp is located along the Talek River at the confluence of the Maasai Mara’s four wildlife viewing areas on the northern boundary of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve.

Maasai Mara lies on the southwest corner of the country featuring vast rolling plains that are stripped black once a year by millions of wildebeest and zebra migrating north from the Serengeti. This reserve is one of Africa’s premier wildlife destinations with all the big game species.

After lunch depart for an afternoon game drive only returning to your lodge to freshen up for dinner.

Day 2

Early morning wake up call with tea/coffee & biscuits. Depart for your morning interpretive game drive just after 6:00 am as the park opens at 06:30 hrs. Elephants browse amongst the large herds of wildebeest and topi, eland and buffalo, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelle. In the Talek River hippos submerge to snort and grumble while crocodiles sunbathe, mouths agape, on the riverbanks. From around July to October there’s the greatest show on earth – the wildebeest migration.

Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you may wish to return to the park again to enjoy the wild or relax by the pool in the camp.

Day 3

There are a number of activities that can be booked in the Mara like the hot air balloon ride (at an extra cost). Float gently over the plains and get a bird’s eye view of game below. After the ride enjoy a hearty breakfast in the bush before embarking on a game drive.

Alternatively you could go out into the amazing park for a final game drive before returning to the lodge for breakfast. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon enjoying the beautiful but serene atmosphere of the reserve. You may opt to go for a nature walk or a visit to the Maasai village before returning to your lodge for lunch.

You will be transferred to the airstrip for your afternoon flight to Wilson airport where you will be met and transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or any city hotel.
